The site in question is located on the coastal section of Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. The villa is positioned on a narrow and elongated plot, following the form of the land with a functional axis. The dense program on a small site has brought the sensitivity to landscape and natural light to our agenda. Therefore, the points where the periphery of the site intersects with the walkways of the building have influenced our landscape-related decisions. Existing trees on the site have been integrated into the design and harmonized with the landscape. The shape of the plan structure is correlated with the positions of the existing trees. The steep slope descending towards the sea has essentially revealed a sculptural staircase. The slope of the land has been utilized, considering the elevation relationships and the client's security concerns.
